Growing up brings a wide variety of change and unknown that result in stress and feeling overwhelmed. Iris Family Support Center is here to support teenagers, helping them figure out how to effectively handle stress while learning about themselves and the world around them. Together, we can develop strategies for your teen to create the future they want for themselves.

Our team of experienced counselors can help your child with anxiety, trauma, grief, and whatever else they may be facing. Our counselors work with them to help them understand what they are facing and find methods that work best for them to move forward. In addition to individual work, Iris Family Support Center also offers group programs to help youth address what they are facing with their peers and trained members of the Iris team.

A 12-week group for ages 11-17 that focuses on the therapeutic needs that adolescents may be facing due to trauma, addictions, and mental health. The class will utilize the MRT curriculum and teach skills for emotional grounding, improved social skills and conflict resolution.

This group currently meets Tuesday from 4-5:30 pm at the Iris location at 500 W Main Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. This group current costs $37.50 per session. Click the button below to register.

Classes for ages 5-18 that focus on using art as a therapeutic intervention to create a safe space to allow the participants to explore topics like identity, communication and forgiveness. The groups strive to create an environment where all feel welcome and can open up about current issues in their lives.

This group meets in Fort Wayne on Wednesday from 4-5 pm (5-9 year olds) and 6-7:30 pm (10-18 year olds) and in Auburn from 6-7:30 pm (all ages). This class is currently free to residents of Allen and DeKalb Counties. Click the button below to register.

Group & individual counseling for ages 12-17 that offers support and guidance to teens dealing with substance abuse. This mix of clinical groups and individual counseling utilizes MRT and evidence-based curriculum to address the root causes of substance abuse and find solutions to move forward.

This group currently meets Fridays from 6:30-8 pm at the Iris location at 500 W Main Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. This group current costs $37.50 per session. Click the button below to register.

Iris Family Support Center’s Truancy Program is here to address the root causes of truancy and figure out solutions with families to help keep their children participating an school to the level they should be. This is an evidence-based therapeutic program with classes for parents and their children running concurrently so each person in the household gets the support they need.
